A field companion to the web workspace
The Android application uses the same authorised organisation context as the web platform. Office staff can prepare clients, projects, sites and assignments; field users then open the relevant work without rebuilding the record on the phone.
Information returned from the field remains associated with the job, allowing the office to continue configuration, technical review and quotation using the evidence captured at the property.
A practical order of work
Sign in with the organisation account, open the assigned job, confirm the customer site and review existing notes before capturing anything. Complete the structured survey, take clear photographs, add observations and verify that information has saved or synchronised.
For visual work, confirm approved dimensions first, open the configured gate preview and use AR-assisted placement only when the environment is safe and suitable. Save the result and return to the job record so office users receive the complete context.
Better photographs and evidence
Capture a wide establishing image before detailed photographs. Keep the camera level, avoid strong backlight, and include a recognisable reference where useful. Photograph both sides of posts, travel areas, surfaces, obstacles, power locations and any condition that could change the proposed installation.
Do not capture unrelated people, neighbouring property or confidential documents unless necessary and authorised. Follow the organisation privacy, retention and customer-consent requirements.
Offline and connection awareness
Mobile connectivity can be weak at customer sites. Before leaving, check whether the application shows unsent work and reconnect where appropriate. Do not assume that an item visible locally has reached the office until synchronisation is confirmed.
If an error occurs, preserve the job context and provide support with the affected feature, device model, time and a concise description. Never send passwords, verification codes or full customer datasets by ordinary email.
